The Collapse Essay Goes in the Serious Pile

Interesting one from the MIT Press Reader. A science fiction writer, Peter Watts, sits down with an evolutionary biologist, Daniel Brooks, and the two of them talk through the basics of where we go from here. Brooks is blunt about it: Collapse is inevitable. The question is what we carry through it. Spoiler alert: no invention is coming to save us. The technology is not the bottleneck. We are. Survival is a choice we make with our behavior, not a product we buy at the end.
